General
Name/Nickname: silver sun or silver (I've been silver sun on all my fandom platforms since 2006)
Age or Age Group: 40s
Country: UK
Pronouns: she/her

You
Do you have any hobbies?: Reading, writing - mainly fan fic, but have been known to write original stuff too. quite like going camping/walking, although haven't had much chance recently. Used to do medieval reenactment, but lack of transport means I've not been in years.
Do you have any interests, that wouldn't fall under a hobby?: cooking, I like trying out new recipes/foods. Attempting to learn chinese to be able to read more danmei - lack of time however means this is going very very slowly.
Any dislikes?: I find most sports boring, unnessary fandom drama (shipwars and the like),
Are you into fandom?: Yes. Fandom was why I joined LJ back in 2006. Back then it was Torchwood. But I've also written in Primeval, Being Human, Rivers of London, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell and Good Omens. Currently (since 2019) my fandom has been MDZS/Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation/CQL/Untamed
What does your day to day look like?: IRL day or my day online? IRL is work and family stuff, that only minimally gets talked about here online. For online stuff I'm probably reading and writing most days, but I don't post everyday.

Entertainment
What do you like to watch?: Quiz shows, archaeology/history documentries, some sci-fi/fantasy shows, some C and K dramas, some historical stuff (Sharpe or Last Kingdom, rather than Downtown or the like)
What movies do you enjoy?: The LOTR movies (but not the hobbit ones - I tried, but it's a no for me) I don't watch many movies, I don't really get the time to sit for that long uninterrupted.
Do you play games? If so, what do you like?: occasional boardgames like ticket to ride or pandemic, some online - I've played Lords Mobile for years. Also rpgs like D&D, although not recently.
If you like to read, what do you read?: Mainly fantasy, some mystery, recently it's been translations of danmei books (chinese m/m novels) with a preference for fantasy/historical settings.
What kind of music do you listen to?: really big variety of stuff, from Queen and Bon Jovi to LOTR sound track, from Hurts and London Grammar to classic chinese instrumental.

Journal & Friending
What do you post about?: Mostly fandom stuff, primarily fan fic. I'm trying to be a bit more active on here, so you might start getting some cooking posts and a few other bits.
How often do you update?: about once a week. I'm trying to be more active on DW, as twitter (where i've been sort of hanging out is just...well it's not the type of fandom place I was used to.
What do you look for in a DW friend?: Just someone who comments occassionally, no pressure to do anything really, just lurk if you want.
What do you like to read about on your friends page?: fic/meta/art for fandoms I'm into, okay with irl stuff. cooking/recipe type posts are good.
Do you have any kind of friending policy?: No policy, although some of my fic is 18+ it will be lablled as such if it is.
Do you have any deal-breakers?: Not really, just don't come into my space and tell to ship different things/believe different things. I absolutley won't friend anyone back if I find they're trolling/harassing people about anything, are terfs/anti-lgbt+, anyone who is claiming their religion is the only correct one.
Is there anything others should know before friending?: I'm not always speedy at replying - I've got a job, a kid (almost a teen now, where have the years gone) and a mostly elderly family who are in the best of health, so you might be waiting a day or two sometimes. It's not that I'm ignoring people, it will either be that I've not had time to read your post/comment, or my brain is mush that day and fill with too much irl and replying to anything just isn't happening.

Anything else? I used to run Torchwood_classic, Torchwood_classic_bigbang and the Torchwood last author standing comms on Live journal back about a 10 years ago. If you were ever active in those - reading or writing - I've imported all three comms over here to Dreamwidth - I've managed to get it all, even the comments, to import. So that little bit of our fandom past safe at least.
