Do you have any hobbies?:reading,painting,stabbing things needles - cross stitch, blackwork, embroidery etc, swimming, travel (hah!), snorkeling
Do you have any interests, that wouldn't fall under a hobby?:Not sure where the line is between interest and hobby - I also like photography, I want to learn to crochet little amigurumi critters, I have music playing constantly, I like to play with new cool tech things, I try new recipes, and basically am open to new things!
Any dislikes?:Stupid people.
Are you into fandom?:Not particularly - when I was in college I was very into Forever Knight fandom, but that was really my only fandom and since I started working full time, I haven't been involved in any fandoms.
What does your day to day look like?:I work full time, weekdays - from home (thanks, global pandemic!). I get up around 6:45am, get dressed (I have gotten dressed EVERY day during the pandemic!), have breakfast and then sit down at my desk in my office and check my email. Work till 5pm or 6pm - with a quick break for lunch sometime between 12pm and 2pm depending on meetings - and then it's dinner time. After dinner I generally spend the evening paying partial attention to the tv while surfing the web on my laptop. Some evenings I paint. I generally take Fridays off, and try to go to water aerobics. Weekends I might paint, I read, I buy groceries and cook meals for the weekend.

Entertainment
What do you like to watch?:I have tivo, so I basically never watch anything "live" and have no idea what day anything is on. Tivo records for me - Grey's Anatomy, Station 19, 911, 911 Lone Star, The Good Doctor, The Late Show, Life Below Zero, Magnum PI, The Rookie, Top Chef, Chicago Med. I also have a bunch of shows in my queue that I haven't tried yet :D
What movies do you enjoy?:I mostly *only* go see Marvel movies in the theatre. I don't watch a ton of movies on tv - I feel like my attention span is terrible - especially since I have the tv on in the background and am mostly just listening, LOL
Do you play games? If so, what do you like?:I only play games on my phone, and not that many. Twenty, Happy Color and 2048 seem to be the ones that have "stuck"
If you like to read, what do you read?:urban fantasy, historical romance, sci-fi, fantasy
What kind of music do you listen to?:I don't even know what the genres are? top 40, alternative, Lindsey Stirling, Battle Tapes :D Basically - not rap, not heavy metal, not country, not jazz.

Journal & Friending
What do you post about?:Mundane daily life stuff, work stuff, recipes that I've tried. When I paint, I take progress photos and then post them as a way to document what I learn. I take lots of photos - of day to day things, and places that I go.
How often do you update?:Several times a week, more on weekends
What do you look for in a DW friend?:Someone who posts more than occasionally, and comments at least occasionally.
What do you like to read about on your friends page?:I enjoy reading about peoples' lives and getting to know them. I like photos! I'm not really interested in just fandom stuff - we're not a good match if that's your subject matter!
Do you have any kind of friending policy?:Friend me! I'll friend you back! If it turns out that you end up just scrolling past my stuff (or vice versa) - unfriend at will (and I'll do the same) - no hard feelings!
Do you have any deal-breakers?:I'm originally from Canada - my politics are probably fiscally conservative and socially liberal. No pro-Trumpers, antivaxxers, homophobes or racists need apply, thanks!
Is there anything others should know before friending?:I'm not religious - but don't mind if others are, as long as you aren't hateful about it or try to convert me :D I cuss occasionally. I abuse exclamation points and smiley emojis :D

May I add you? I have seen your name on posts by mutual friends over on LJ. Also interested in textile crafts and swimming, working from home, and mostly post about daily stuff. I sometimes post about my adult kids, my horse or my cats.

I think you're my little sister from another mister! except I like country music (I blame a former job for that one!)
I cuss a lot more than occasionally and all politicians, like diapers, should be changed regularly. Currently dealing with work comp issues so my ramblings tend to be a lot of venting right now but it's not always like that
Making friends as an adult is hard I think we all need more people to connect with and I'd like to try =)

To be fair, I grew up on Real Country Music - my parents listened to it a lot - so if we go back to the classics, I probably still remember a lot of the words and honestly don't mind it :)
