You
Do you have any hobbies?: Writing, knitting and spinning, calligraphy and water color, cooking, photography, gardening (when I can), history and genealogy.
Do you have any interests, that wouldn't fall under a hobby?: I'm sort of slowly working on a masters program in philology, focusing on myth and legend in the Baltics, Nordics and Balkans (okay, really just Romania). I learn a lot of languages for work, which I suffer through with various amounts of grace,
Any dislikes?: Liver and onions.
Are you into fandom?: Yeah, to an extent. About half of what I write is fanfic (Same username on AO3 as here) and I'm perhaps unhealthily attached to C and K dramas right at the moment, but it's not a big focus of my journal.
What does your day to day look like?: I work in international relations in an office that I'm obligated to go to most days, so I get up, get dressed, wrestle my hair into something work appropriate, and carpool with my husband to work. I do interviews, go to meetings, take silly phone calls, solve problems, eat cafeteria food and occasionally go hide in my friends offices to get away from my staff until 5pm, go home, find something dinner-ish to feed the family, take a walk around the neighborhood, wrestle the kids into doing homework, knit/spin and watch TV or listen to a Podcast, tuck the 10 year old into bed, read for a while and then go to sleep. On the weekends, we try to get out and see something interesting although COVID has slowed our roll significantly.

Entertainment
What do you like to watch?: Overseas netflix is really different than US netflix, so my choices are super limited. I've been watching a lot of Korean and Chinese shows (Loved The Untamed, King: Eternal Monarch, Word of Honor, Nirvana in Fire, Vincenzo) and I tend to like historical stuff and trashy TV.
What movies do you enjoy?: Wow, I literally can't remember the last time we watched a movie, which is sad. The kind I can watch in my living room, I guess?
Do you play games? If so, what do you like?: Yes! We play a lot of board games, and the occasional computer game but I'm not super into either.
If you like to read, what do you read?: Lately lots of non-fiction about geopolitics and history -- I'm having my heart broken by "Nothing is true and Everything is Possible" at the moment, ugh. -- and all the new danmei novels that are coming out.
What kind of music do you listen to?: My Emo phase has sort of never ended, but I grew up with a very musical family so I listen to some of everything.

Journal & Friending
What do you post about?: Mostly right now it's day-to-day stuff. Work is surfing from one crisis to another, but I also post about my kids and what I'm doing and thinking about in real life. Travel, once we get back to a place where that can happen.
How often do you update?: I've been updating more often lately, but usually 1-2x/week?
What do you look for in a DW friend?: I really just want to voyeuristically peer into your life. But like, in a nice way?
What do you like to read about on your friends page?:
Do you have any kind of friending policy?: Not as such.
Do you have any deal-breakers?: I don't friend people who are under 18. I'm Jewish, poly and have a non-binary kid so if hearing about those things bug you, please be elsewhere.
Is there anything others should know before friending?: I'm also very no-harm, no-foul about unfriending people. If we don't vibe, that's perfectly OK. I'm not going to be fussed about it.
