Hobbies and Interests What are your current interests and/or hobbies?: Writing, photography, and right now lots of fiber arts -- spinning, carding, knitting (and, sometimes sewing. I used to work in costume design) I'm also hoping to find time to work on calligraphy and illumination sometime soon. I have the STUFF just not the TIME. Do you participate in these hobbies or interests daily?: Probably, even if it's just a wee bit of knitting while we watch television. Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?: Definitely not my job right now. But I'm targeting an early retirement where I want to write trashy novels and grow tomatoes and sheep, so perhaps in the future. If applicable, what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?: I've done a batt-to-hat challenge (spin the wool, ply it, knit the hat) and want to do a sheep-to-shawl soon. Are there any hobbies you'd like to get into?: Watercolor painting, calligraphy and illumination. If you're into collecting something, what is it?: Um. Totally unrelated to any of the rest of this, I collect antique passports and other ephemera related to Diplomacy and the Consular Service. Do you have a "main" hobby or interest, one that you participate in more than others?: It depends. Before COVID it was photography, but not getting out made that hard. Now it's probably fiber stuff, but we'll see how things change as the weather warms and restrictions ease. Do you want more friends that participate in a specific hobby or interest? If so, what is it?: Yes? Anything really, but I love having more fiber people on my flist. Is there anything about your hobby or interest that annoys you?: My inability to go to wool fairs? Do you participate in your hobby or interest for fun or relaxation? Both?: Both? Both! Both. And lastly, do you prefer to participate in your hobby/interest alone or with someone? It's all the same to me.

If not, what do you post about?: Lately I've been posting mostly about work, because that's been taking up the majority of my time. But I mention knitting and other things pretty often. What do you like to read about on your friends page?: People's lives; it's like a laid back and well intentioned form of non-sexual voyeurism? Do you post about fandom? If not, do you mind reading about it?: Sometimes (mostly C-dramas at the moment) but I'll read about anything. Do you have any deal-breakers?: Support for Putin. I just can't with that, sorry.
