♦ Basics Name: Jen Age: 38 Pronouns: She/Her Personality Type: ENTJ Country: USA
♦ Spring Is Here! Is it spring yet in your part of the world: Yep! What's your favorite thing about spring: Warmer weather! Have you been doing any spring cleaning: Yes, I've been doing big purges!!! If comfortable sharing, any spring goals: Trying to get fitter by summer and purge my house. What are your likes or dislikes about spring: Pollen!! Allergies!! D: Do you have any spring-based hobbies: More walks outside, tending to my garden! Do you have a favorite flower: Not particularly. Do you like being outdoors or prefer staying indoors: I very much like the outdoors, but I don't like all the sneezing and itchy eyes. Do you have any spring-time (or in general) photos you'd like to share: Not at the moment, but hopefully I will!
♦ Friending and Your Journal
What qualities are you looking for in a friend: Active chill people who respect others and who write about their day to day lives thoroughly.
How do you like to communicate: I enjoy communicating via comments. I don't expect every single one of my entries to have comments, but if people add me, and then never comment in months, I'm not about that. I LOVE reading about people's lives and I want to know other people are reading me also. I don't comment all the time, but enough where you know I'm reading you, and that's pretty much what I am looking for.
Do you do friend cuts? If so, how often: I don't do friends cuts often, but I do them when I feel like someone is inactive, not ever commenting, or I think we just don't click.
How often do you post: Very regularly. I have been posting since 2001 and I never quit. I'm looking for equally active people.
What do you post about: My life. I'm an animator for TV who is on a couple of months at a time, and then off a couple of months at a time where I become a SAHM. Right now I'm off, so it's mostly mundane day to day things about my husband, my two kids, friends, and whatever we are doing that week. I love being able to look back on my journal and be like, "Oh, I ate this thing on this day 10 years ago", lol.
Is there anything you're not looking for: (Feel free to put dealbreakers here too) I really don't like it when people add me on frenzies who have never been consistent. They add me, post two entries, and then are never heard from again. Maybe pop up again half a year later apologizing for not posting in all that time. No thanks. I'm looking for consistency. I use livejournal as a memory keeper and an outlet, and am looking for people who do the same.
Though I do enjoy fandoms, fandoms is not what I want to read about. I want to read long entries about people's lives. Thoughts, feelings, work, friendships, relationships, kids, partners, etc. You went and got lunch with your friend? I wanna read about it. I love getting to know people through their entries.
I am pro-vaccine, pro-masks, severely anti-Trump, and am part of the LGBTQ+ community. I don't really agree to disagree on those topics. Sorrynotsorry.
