General Name/Nickname: Jo Age or Age Group: late 50s Country: Canada Pronouns: I love all pronouns, they are very useful when writing things. My most used ones are I, me and mine.
You Do you have any hobbies?: Reading, yoga, watching TV (so, not really?) Do you have any interests, that wouldn't fall under a hobby?: Reading, yoga, watching TV (honestly -- don't know if these things are hobbies or interests). Any dislikes?: Loads? But I can't be arsed to list them all? Are you into fandom?: I am a fan of many shows, as in, happy to talk about them with others, but I don't do fandom stuff. What does your day to day look like?: Monday to Friday, I am at work. For the past 2+ years, that has been mostly from home, but I now go in three days a week (M-W) and work from home Th and F. The weekends are generally uneventful -- chores, catching up on household things.
Entertainment What do you like to watch?: Police procedurals (esp. British), science fiction, some dramas. Not so much into sitcoms because I rarely find them very funny. My list of fave shows is really too long to even try to get into. Currently thrilled that Outlander is back with season 6. I will pretty much check out any show that the Guardian gives a rating of 4 or more stars. What movies do you enjoy?: Not a big movie person. Do you play games? If so, what do you like?: Not really. I have a couple on my phone that I will play when I have time to kill (e.g. waiting for an appointment), once in a blue moon I may play Civ on the computer, but haven't in eons. If you like to read, what do you read?: Mostly police procedurals (esp. by British authors) and science fiction. What kind of music do you listen to?: Mostly stuff from the 1960s to the 80s. Some more recent stuff (recent meaning 1990s-early 2000s). Totally clueless about anything current.
Journal & Friending What do you post about?: Just day to day stuff mostly. So, not very exciting. How often do you update?: Pretty much daily. What do you look for in a DW friend?: People who post regularly. If you're "just trying to get back into journalling", maybe don't add me. I've had enough of people who post once, and then disappear for 6 months (or longer). What do you like to read about on your friends page?: Your day-to-day stuff, interesting opinions on issues. I don't get into political stuff myself because my job requires me to be politically neutral, but I can live vicariously through other people opinionating about things. Do you have any kind of friending policy?: My journal is 99% Friends Only, so I will grant you access so you can have a look at what I post. If not your cup of tea, that's fine. Do you have any deal-breakers?: I am not into fandom stuff, so if you mostly post about that, meh. Also not keen on posts that are mostly photos/memes/gifs, etc. Or if your posts are basically tweets (e.g. one sentence announcing you've just had a cup of tea, end of.). Is there anything others should know before friending?: I am not a serial commentor. I do try to comment when I believe I have something to contribute. Also, it sometimes takes me some time to get a sense of who you are before I feel comfortable wading in with comments.
Anything else? I've been on DW as my base for at least 5-6 years now, and was cross-posting to LJ. I'm still manually posting my DW posts over there, but almost everyone from there has moved here now, except for a couple of people, so I am not sure if I will keep doing that much longer.
