Oh I don't know. I find a lot of things interesting.

Any dislikes?:
So much more than I like haha. I don't even know where to begin. I naturally tend to be adverse to the most popular things.

Are you into fandom?:
I'm not entirely sure what that means. Whats the difference between being a fan and fandom?

What does your day to day look like?:
I go to work at an ungodly hour (think 3am or 5:30 depending on my shift) I work, I nap, I clean, I cook, I shower, I go back to sleep. On my weekends, which are not Saturday and Sunday, I either work on cleaning project, art, or go wander around the city, usually with my camera. I'm a perpetual pedestrian. I've never gotten my driver's license. Thankfully my city had a decent transit system and bike routes, so I have those options when I want to go farther from home.

Entertainment
What do you like to watch?:
Not much. I try to watch TV shows sometimes, or a movie, but I get antsy having to sit still that long. Seinfeld was awesome.

What movies do you enjoy?:
I have watched movies, it's been a while since I watched them regularly, but I enjoyed This is Spinal Tap, and all the mockumentary spin-off that came from that. Best In Show is probably my favorite one of those. Fred Willard was an amazing man. Other movies: Apocalypse Now, Cold Fever, The Big Lebowski, Borat, Where the Buffalo Roam, The Life of Brian, Dr. Strangelove

Do you play games? If so, what do you like?:
I do not play games. I don't even have tolerance for Uno.

If you like to read, what do you read?:
Right now I'm on a Steinbeck kick. I also like Kafka, Dostoevsky, Jane Austin, Haruki Murakami, Chekhov, Conrad, and Louisa May Alcott... how can you not love those little women??

What kind of music do you listen to?:
Heavy Metal, Bebop jazz, that other weird jazz that Sun Ra and Rahsaan does, Shpongle, Psychedelic surfer rock, Psych Cambodian rock, Kate Bush. I really enjoy listening to The Retro Cocktail Hour every Sunday night http://www.retrococktail.org/

Journal & Friending
What do you post about?:
My daily activities, navel gazing thoughts, work drama, birds. When I go on a adventure with my camera I'll post a lot of pictures.

How often do you update?:
Once or twice a week. I've had a lull trying to figure out where to post these days, but I'll get back on it. I have a hard time shutting up. I have thoughts, and I need to write them down.

What do you look for in a DW friend?:
All sorts of people. I'm not afraid to be friends with people who have different views than I do. I've had a boyfriend for 20 years, so if your looking for love, it's not me.

What do you like to read about on your friends page?:
I like reading the classic journal type entries. You know, their daily happenings, thought on things, pictures, and relationships. My eyes start to glaze over there's too much mulling over media and famous people. It doesn't mean I wont read their journal, just not those part as much.

Do you have any kind of friending policy?:
No actually, I don't. I kind of have to decide whether I like a person on an individual basis.

Do you have any deal-breakers?:
You'll know when you've done it.

Is there anything others should know before friending?:
I'm a cat person. CATS RULE, DOGS DROOL! ... but your dog is cute.


Anything else?
I've never met susandennis, but I recently walked by her condo and took a picture. I swear it's not creepy.

My cats certainly rule! I also like hiking (although I haven't done so in a while) and gardening, and would like to get into photography. I've seen you around LJ. Okay if I add you?

Sure! It's cool that you're interested in photography. I kind of got into it by accident, but now it's my main hobby. I've even got to the point where exclusively use the manual mode on my DSLR camera. It's so much fun once you get into it.

My son and d-i-l live in Seattle and I try to visit a couple times a year. They just love it there. I'm thinking when this house gets to be too much for me I will probably relocate to be closer to him.

Well you do have the best name. Let me ask you, how often do people call you Jennifer? I find it's a common problem among Stephanies.

Oh wow I have only met a few people who listen to psychedelic Cambodian rock! I was in a psych/shoegaze band in the 2000s in NYC but have to say my life is a lot different now and I am a SAHM with two children in England. I think we would get along..we also have authors and movies in common, too.

Cool. I've never met anyone who listens to it, but anyone I introduce to it really likes it. It's really sad that most of the musicians from that era were slaughtered in the revolution.

I just checked out your journal. You seem like a very different person than me, but your writing voice is eerily similar to mine. It's kind of cool. It feels like I'm reading something familiar.
