Hobbies and Interests
What are your current interests and/or hobbies?:
my biggest hobby would definitely be disc golf. (basically, golf but with a specific frisbee as the ball, and baskets as the holes.) i also enjoy photography, being outdoors in nature, and various web-related activities (building websites, digitally organizing, etc.).
Do you participate in these hobbies or interests daily?:
disc golf, yes. the rest, i try as time allows. unfortunately, there's just not enough time in the day, it feels like.
Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?:
in a minimal way, it is part of my job/daily routine. i'm sponsored by a couple of organizations so i have to make the occasional social media post/boost mentioning them, and i get some cool swag/discs/other benefits. i definitely don't make enough money to make it my full-time career, but i am passionate about it to do it whether i "cash" at tournaments or not.
if i were able to make a living from it (not just unfortunately a very small salary that many of these elite players get), i would love nothing more! alas, having just bought a home and (unfortunately) a car last year, a girl's gotta pay ALL the bills.
photography would be a great career, but that would require me, you know, actually doing something about it.
If applicable, what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?:
phew, that's honestly a deep question. i'd say my growth to where i am today in disc golf from where i was even two years ago. but that's a whole series of posts.
i hit my highest rating to date in disc golf as of this month, so that's a huge plus.
photography-wise: i once had a stranger see a photo i took/edited of this specific hole at a disc golf course, and he made it his profile photo without any credit. we ended up becoming friends, and even though i was annoyed at the lack of credit, it gave me a little bit of a good feeling knowing my photo was nice enough for someone to steal in the first place. ha!
Are there any hobbies you'd like to get into?:
i would love to become a stronger writer, but i never seem to fully dedicate myself to it for one reason or another. but i have been fairly active on DW just to get words on the page and out of my head so - it's a start.
If you're into collecting something, what is it?:
just memories. and pictures, but most of mine are digital at this point.
Do you have a "main" hobby or interest, one that you participate in more than others?:
see above, lol. disc golf.
Do you want more friends that participate in a specific hobby or interest? If so, what is it?:
i mean, of course. if everyone i met ever took up disc golf as a hobby, i think it would make the world a better place. LOL. but that's not realistic, and i have many friends who have never touched a disc in their life - and that's just peachy.
Is there anything about your hobby or interest that annoys you?:
probably just the fact that i could talk about it nonstop. sorry in advance!
Do you participate in your hobby or interest for fun or relaxation? Both?:
both, but also for competition. I've always participated in athletics and sports since i was young, so i feel like i've always needed some sort of physical challenge in my life.
And lastly, do you prefer to participate in your hobby/interest alone or with someone?
both! i never mind playing a round by myself, as i usually can focus on what i need to work on. but it's typically always wonderful playing with others for the comraderie and fellow competition.

at least a few times a week, if i have anything "interesting" to write about.

for sure. disc golf as well as IRL stuff.
What do you like to read about on your friends page?:
anything and everything. especially other's lives and things i'm not knowledgable about.

i don't have any, but i don't mind reading about them. i just may not have much to contribute!
Do you have any deal-breakers?:
just don't be a jerk for the sake of being one. everyone has bad days and situations - but i left being a doormat in my 20s and don't plan on going back.
