What are your current interests and/or hobbies?: Taking walks with Hubby, sewing, cooking, video games, and writing. I'd call music a hobby too, because it's fun creating playlists on youtube music and I sing. There are many things I have an interest in, including jewelry making, yoga, learning about nature, late night car rides, photography, weather, coding (html/css), graphic/web design, watching youtubers, watching shows/anime and learning a different language. There are many more, but those are the ones that come to mind.

Do you participate in these hobbies or interests daily?: Yes! Though not lately, I usually sew and play video games everyday. I watch TV semi-daily and watch youtube many times a day.

Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?: Not currently, but I'd love to make a job of selling handmade stuff! Taking part in craft shows sound wonderful (once the pandemic has calmed down more

If applicable, what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?: Oooof, not much, unfortunately, but I've at least accomplished making decent and usable masks. I've also been proud of how much I've improved in making scrunchies. I still have many things to learn, though. I've managed to learn some Japanese words too.

Are there any hobbies you'd like to get into?: I'd like to learn how to make candles and bath bombs! I'd like to eventually learn how to crochet and knit, too.

If you're into collecting something, what is it?: Strange enough, clothing and accessories! My reason being that I love matching themes, such as sunflower jewelry and accessories to match sunflower print clothing. I like "collecting" different flavors of tea and coffee to try out! And lastly, I like collecting crystals, despite my collection being very small.

Do you have a "main" hobby or interest, one that you participate in more than others?: Kind of. I participate in the hobby that I'm in the mood for. Sometimes that's gaming, sometimes, sewing, and sometimes writing. I guess those would be my main 3. Hubby and I actively watch youtube every night before going to bed.

Do you want more friends that participate in a specific hobby or interest? If so, what is it?: I always welcome any new friends! Gaming and sewing friends would be a plus, but not required.

Is there anything about your hobby or interest that annoys you?: Cost is really the only thing. Video games are expensive. Fabric can be expensive and sometimes it's hard to find a specific print if you're looking for one.

Do you participate in your hobby or interest for fun or relaxation? Both?: Both. I'd go so far as to say that I use writing and video games as an escape from my depression. They're both relaxing. Food is (unfortunately) relaxing to me so making coffee or tea when I'm stressed out can help, even if only a little.

And lastly, do you prefer to participate in your hobby/interest alone or with someone? I thrive on playing video games with Hubby. We very much enjoy walking downtown together and I enjoy when he helps me with my sewing

What are your current interests and/or hobbies?: Reading, writing, fanfiction, video games, music, jigsaw puzzles.
Do you participate in these hobbies or interests daily?: Yes. I usually work through fanfic ideas or editing to some degree most days, if I'm not preparing a new chapter to go up. I read every day. I've been sort of getting back into video games. I've also been getting back into puzzling lately and typically do them with friends and family.
Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?: No. I'd love to be paid for my fiction writing, but that's a long ways off. I'm currently paid to write, just not fiction.
If applicable, what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?: I don't have one in particular but I'm pretty proud of how much fanfic I've published over the last few years, particularly since last November. I've been going pretty strong and it doesn't seem ready to stop. I'm also happy I'm back into reading more books and fanfics lately.
Are there any hobbies you'd like to get into?: I've been trying to get back into playing piano. I'd also like to learn cross-stitch.
If you're into collecting something, what is it?: Enamel pins, art prints, plush, cute and pretty statues.
Do you have a "main" hobby or interest, one that you participate in more than others?: Reading and fanfic writing.
Do you want more friends that participate in a specific hobby or interest? If so, what is it?: I've always wanted to be in a book club but can never commit without worrying I won't finish the book (I change interest randomly), so I like folks who are reading things so I can hear their opinions on the books, even if I won't read the actual books, because I like a good review. And it's nice to get new book suggestions for the to be read mountain. And a lot of my friends in fandom are fanfic writers, so more fic writers is awesome. Some of my fandoms are on my profile if folks are interested.
Is there anything about your hobby or interest that annoys you?: A lot of them are time-commitment heavy and I currently want to do all of them, so it's hard to pick one without feeling like I'm under-doing the others. If I want to sit with a video game for a couple evenings, those are days I'm not writing and editing something. Same with finishing a novel. And if I'm writing, I'm not reading a novel or progressing through any of the 10,000 games I have. It's nice to want to do things, though, and to have lots of things I want to do, so it's not THAT annoying.

And lastly, do you prefer to participate in your hobby/interest alone or with someone? Mostly alone. I've read books with people at the same time in the sense that we're reading the same book, but not reading it "together", and that was fun. And I've bounced ideas with friends for fanfics that turned into stories that I wrote, but I don't really consider them co-written, and I am very averse to co-writing something.

my biggest hobby would definitely be disc golf. (basically, golf but with a specific frisbee as the ball, and baskets as the holes.) i also enjoy photography, being outdoors in nature, and various web-related activities (building websites, digitally organizing, etc.).

disc golf, yes. the rest, i try as time allows. unfortunately, there's just not enough time in the day, it feels like.

Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?:
in a minimal way, it is part of my job/daily routine. i'm sponsored by a couple of organizations so i have to make the occasional social media post/boost mentioning them, and i get some cool swag/discs/other benefits. i definitely don't make enough money to make it my full-time career, but i am passionate about it to do it whether i "cash" at tournaments or not.

if i were able to make a living from it (not just unfortunately a very small salary that many of these elite players get), i would love nothing more! alas, having just bought a home and (unfortunately) a car last year, a girl's gotta pay ALL the bills.

photography would be a great career, but that would require me, you know, actually doing something about it.

If applicable, what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?:
phew, that's honestly a deep question. i'd say my growth to where i am today in disc golf from where i was even two years ago. but that's a whole series of posts.

i hit my highest rating to date in disc golf as of this month, so that's a huge plus.

photography-wise: i once had a stranger see a photo i took/edited of this specific hole at a disc golf course, and he made it his profile photo without any credit. we ended up becoming friends, and even though i was annoyed at the lack of credit, it gave me a little bit of a good feeling knowing my photo was nice enough for someone to steal in the first place. ha!

Are there any hobbies you'd like to get into?:
i would love to become a stronger writer, but i never seem to fully dedicate myself to it for one reason or another. but i have been fairly active on DW just to get words on the page and out of my head so - it's a start.

If you're into collecting something, what is it?:
just memories. and pictures, but most of mine are digital at this point.

both, but also for competition. I've always participated in athletics and sports since i was young, so i feel like i've always needed some sort of physical challenge in my life.

Sometimes I am crafty in other ways, but mostly I've realized that's a more aspirational area than a practical one. I would like to get back to exploring local cemeteries and lesser-known points of interest. Oh, and sometimes I build plastic models, mostly Gundam.

Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?: Not really. I do like robots, and I do work with robots... but there's really not much actual overlap there.

If you're into collecting something, what is it?: Aside from books and games, I used to collect Monster High/Ever After High dolls and still have them everywhere. Eventually I'll pare down the collection a bit, but they were truly fun to collect. I also have a collection of spatulas.

Do you participate in these hobbies or interests daily?: Yes to reading, taking walks, taking pictures and learning Turkish. As for colouring and jigsaw puzzles, I do these about every second day, depending on the amount of time I have and which one I feel like doing at that moment. When it comes to interests, I definitely devote time to (learning about) them on a regular basis - I especially listen to tons of podcasts which encompass some of the topics I mentioned. To give you an idea, I am tracking the episodes I listen to in a DW post and just hit 801 episodes so far this year xD

Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?: No, and even though some of these would probably be cool jobs, I am currently very satisfied with the one I do have.
If applicable, what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?: Not sure...maybe cooking some dishes that family and friends genuinely loved? What are your current interests and/or hobbies?: boxing lessons, rock climbing, reading pretty much everything (I love both fiction and nonfiction.)

Rock climbing as often as possible because I love it and though it's physical and tiring, it's also full of joy and zen. Also, I love ice hockey and baseball. My favorite teams are the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Tampa Bay Rays.
Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?: I currently have a 3 book contract for a mystery series and the first book will be published in April 2023. It's my real job, but I have two part-time jobs that I use to make ends meet. One with the local utilities company that is interesting and fun, the other as the HR liaison for my local rock gym.
If applicable, what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?: I have also written plays for a big portion of my life, and I've had numerous productions and won some awards. But now I'm writing novels, so I'm not sure what I'll be doing with plays.

What are your current interests and/or hobbies?: Knitting, music (lots of things but especially American folk music), reading (fantasy, sci-fi, mystery)

Do you participate in these hobbies or interests daily?: Knitting: I knit almost every day, either in the morning before work or in the evening, depending on my work schedule. For me, knitting is usually very relaxing, so it's what I do when I'm low on energy but I want to feel like I've accomplished something. Lately I've been getting into shawls.
Music: in these pandemic times, I've been singing with myself on tiktok. I got into it through other shape note singers who were using the "duet" feature to sing with each other, and eventually it morphed into me recording all the parts of a song myself and editing them together. It's been a lot of fun, and I've learned a lot about my voice.
Reading: I used to Always be partway through reading a book or some other kind of fiction, but lately I've gotten away from that a bit- it's harder for me to get to a library during open hours, and my library's ebook lending selection isn't super large. I maybe read one new Actual Book a month, plus occasional fanfiction and webcomics that I read when they update.

Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?: TBH if I had understood when I was 18 how very much being a musician who performs for a living is unlike being a music student under constant pressure to play more difficult music, I might have tried to take that path.

If applicable, what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?: This is definitely my favorite thing I've knitted, and this is my favorite song I've done so far.

Are there any hobbies you'd like to get into?: I would like to start sewing clothes for myself. I more or less know how- my mother sews a lot, and visiting the fabric store, picking out patterns, etc. was a big part of my childhood. But I don't have my own sewing machine, and... basically the wide-open breadth of possibilities of what I Could make has stopped me from actually getting started.

what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?: I am trying to publish Male and Female Costume by Beau Brummell, so that it is available freely online for everyone, but especially for the blind. I have created a curriculum based on the pre-1868 one of Eton College, along with my own self-taught and created courses. I also wish to adopt the writing style of the British upper class during the nineteenth century (real not from television), so that requires study and emulation. I also love being in the kitchen and creating new recipes.

Is there anything about your hobby or interest that annoys you?: Today I got rained on trying to get the seeds into the goddess garden. Weeding is unending. Proofreading written work is tedious. So is shelving books. All jobs have parts that suck. The key to happiness is finding ones whose sucky parts you can tolerate.
Do you participate in your hobby or interest for fun or relaxation? Both?: Often mix of both for different activities. Harvesting is fun; just walking around the yard is relaxing. Writing is exciting; rereading older things I've written is relaxing.
And lastly, do you prefer to participate in your hobby/interest alone or with someone? Depends on the hobby, and who I can get. I love audience interaction for writing, but the actual writing I do alone. I do a Poetry Fishbowl on the first Tuesday of each month when people can give me prompts; next up is May 3 with a theme of "Making Do." Most gardening I do alone for lack of other options. I enjoy cooking with my partner.

I post about all the hobbies I mentioned plus whatever else catches my interest, which is a huge variety of stuff. The writing is the biggest amount.
What do you like to read about on your friends page?: I like a wide range of crafts when people talk about current projects, especially with pictures. I'm fond of many other practical topics like environment or space exploration.
Do you post about fandom? If not, do you mind reading about it?: I write in a variety of fandoms occasionally. Among my main works are Love Is For Children (The Avengers) and Frankenstein's Family. I quite like open-source fandoms and have several of those too. I enjoy reading fanfic or fanac if it related to a fandom I share, although sometimes I read outside those if it's intriguing enough. I've picked up a couple of fandoms because I liked the fanfic so much, but there are others where I only like the fandom and not the canon.
Do you have any deal-breakers?: I prefer to avoid medical discussions. I tend to overlook the lock dingbat because it's so small, so I also avoid most blogs that have a lot of locked posts. Otherwise I accidentally link to locked posts, which annoys everyone. So those things rule out a lot of blogs that I would otherwise read.

I'd like to try and write original fiction (it's been years). I'd like to try and finish my paint by numbers (poor thing is sitting forgotten!) and also possibly get into making paper origami art. I cook sometimes and am slowly getting into making some things for the sake of trying.

The one thing I like about online journalling is seeing everyone's different interest and hobbies, especially when there's photographs to show them off. And animal photos. That's the big one.

Not having enough time; there not being enough hours in the day. Sometimes it can be tough to spend hours being creative to receive little feedback. Getting back into a hobby after falling out of it can be rough.

Do you participate in these hobbies or interests daily? : Video games daily! I play Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy Brave Exvius on a daily basis. I usually knit or crochet several times a week, and often enough it's daily but not always.
Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?: I sell some of my patterns on Ravelry, but I barely make any money at it. I stream myself playing video games on Twitch three times a week but have yet to make affiliate, and doubt I will. I have considered taking craft commissions, and this year am actively investigating selling at craft fairs, but it will never be a full-time job.
If applicable, what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?: Oh! I'm very pleased with my Aerith Doll Clothes because it took some trial and error to get the lace hem to stop flipping up, but I did it
Are there any hobbies you'd like to get into?: Weaving, on inkle looms or a table loom, but (a) I need more money, (b) I need more space. Also, I'd really lie to get back into reading fiction on a more consistent basis.
If you're into collecting something, what is it?: I collect floating pens, also sometimes known as tilt pens: those pens that have a small scene in their barrels that when you tilt them, a piece of the scene moves. I have over 50 of them, but they are packed away so I have lost count of exactly how many I have.
Do you have a "main" hobby or interest, one that you participate in more than others?: Hmm, no? I'm pretty equal with my video gaming and crafting. Both take up significant portions of my time and mean a lot to me.

Is there anything about your hobby or interest that annoys you?: I have anxiety, and it can interfere with my video gaming, especially since I play an MMORPG where you sometimes have to play with others. It's annoying when the anxiety rears its head. As for the crafting: annoying that I have just one room in my house where I have to have ALL my stuff, and thus my room is cramped with both unfinished and finished items.

I also read and write but I'm a grad student, so that's more like my job right now.

Do you participate in these hobbies or interests daily?: I go on and off. I read every day. I do not write every day. I crochet when it doesn't hurt my hands too much.

Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?: Right now, I'm supposed to be working on my thesis for my MFA Writing for Children & Young Adults; I'm a full time student, so I guess you could say that's my "job"? I don't make much money off of it.

If applicable, what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?: I was nominated for the Rhysling Award (for poetry) and I was a Best of the Net finalist.

It's hard to remember.
