What are your current interests and/or hobbies?: Cross stitching, working on puzzles, reading, playing board games
Do you participate in these hobbies or interests daily?: Cross-stitch and read daily. Work on puzzles & board games on weekends
Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?: Nope just a hobby to relax
If applicable, what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?: I completed a large cross-stich piece that I have hanging in my library of a stack of books with a cat sleeping in it

We have a couple of mutual interests, especially books and puzzles, and the things you write about sound right up my alley.

I would love to get into board games myself but sadly I don't have enough people to play with. Oh well.

I don't often meet other Leslies! (It's my legal name but I don't use it much outside of work/family.)

I keep meaning to try cross stitch but then I get intimidated when I look at the patterns. Any suggestions for a total newbie?

I would start with one of those beginner kits they sell at craft stores like JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby. There's also on youtube people have what's called Flosstube channels. There are a lot of tutorials on there for different kinds of stitches.
