The New Year Do you have any resolutions?: no; I was recommended by (don't laugh!) my horoscope to not make any resolutions to bog myself down, but rather wait until the new moon in February to make helpful intentions instead, and I really loved the idea! Are there any new books, music, games, shows, etc. that you want to dive into?: Oh gosh yes. So many...I'd like to finish the book series I currently have on the go (Temeraire, the Aubreyad, A Natural History of Dragons), re-read others (The History of Middle-earth comes to mind), and have a long, long stand-alone to-read list (first off the ranks will be Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, I think)! Are there any small or big events that you're planning for this year?: no, not at the moment. Any new interests/hobbies that you'd like to try out?: I think I'd like to attempt to learn knitting again? (I've tried over and over and OVER since I was, like, ten -- never gotten beyond knit, purl, inc, and dec, and I hold the needles weirdly and can't not. I crochet like a pro, though!) Did you accomplish your resolutions from last year?: You know, I can't even remember if I made any! What were your favorite memories from the past year?: ...oh. Hm. It's been a bit of a hard year...maybe watching Good Omens with my sister over Discord? Also seeing Professor Brian Cox live for the millionth time! ♥ Do you have any new years traditions?: Is there anything you'd like to do more of in 2023?: More writing, for sure.
The New Friends What kind of friend(s) are you searching for?: Any and all! What do you like to read about?: Literally anything; the minute I think [x] isn't all that interesting, I'll find that the way someone writes about it gets me interested, so I'm open. How often do you check your friends feed?: once at least every three days, if my health allows. Do you have any deal-breakers?: no TERFs, no one attached to my abuser. Do you mind reading about fandom?: absolutely not! Not even if it's a fandom I have literally no idea about! I like seeing people be enthusiastic about things they like! If so, what fandoms would you like to read about?: my eternal fandom is all things Tolkien, so that's at the top of the list by default; a list of other fandoms can be found in my interests list (plus a whole bunch I've probably forgotten, no less).

Reading: "Dragoncharm" by Graham Edwards Watching: 90's Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Playing: Wingspan, for chillout reasons :P Thinking about: how horribly purity culture and toxic positivity is for mental illness sufferers in particular. Hobby/Interest: static responsive webdesign and calligraphy! Pears and apples there... Planning for: nothing...yet!
