The New Year Do you have any resolutions?: Not really resolutions, but I do have a few goals this year, like my writing/word count goals, my inevitable "this is a list of books I want to read this year" which I will not read a single one of, sames goes to the list of games I want to play, or play again (Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Final Fantasy, Horizon…) I really should add exercising as a goal too… Are there any new books, music, games, shows, etc. that you want to dive into?: So many! My "To Read List" is ever growing. I have a particular love for k-dramas and rely heavily on the "coming soon" category on Netflix for new things to watch, unless they star actors/actresses who I enjoy watching then I'll probably be waiting in anticipation for. Are there any small or big events that you're planning for this year?: Moving house and Lunar New Year celebrations are the most immediate events coming up, but other than that nothing major planned. I'll take life as it comes this year. Any new interests/hobbies that you'd like to try out?: Nothing at the moment, but I'm hoping to spend more time doing my current interests (reading and writing). Did you accomplish your resolutions from last year?: I didn't set out any resolutions last year. I did give myself a word count goal, which I thought I wouldn't hit. I didn't but still got very close! What were your favorite memories from the past year?: Travelling internationally for the first time since the pandemic to see family and friends; and to see my favourite k-pop group perform live. Do you have any new years traditions?: Watching London's New Year's fireworks. Is there anything you'd like to do more of in 2023?: Reading and writing more, but also putting aside some time when I do neither so that I can play some games, draw, catch up on TV shows.
The New Friends What kind of friend(s) are you searching for?: Anyone who is relatively active in posting. Having interest in common would be nice, but not a must. What do you like to read about?: Anything, I'm open to reading anything if it catches my interest. How often do you check your friends feed?: I try daily, if not, then a few times a week. Do you have any deal-breakers?: Please, no bigotry. Do you mind reading about fandom?: I adore fandom—I'm in it too. Please go right ahead and talk about it to your heart's content! I'd love to read about it! If so, what fandoms would you like to read about?: Any! I may not be familiar with them, but I'm open to learning about them irrespective of medium. If I can find it, I'll give it a go. I have a few comfort fandoms I return to often, like Harry Potter, Naruto, Star Trek: Discovery.
Currently... Reading:Warrior Nun fic, in particular Avatrice. Re-reading Backwards to Oregon by Jae. Watching: Passively watching Suits now at Season 3; Actively watching Hospital Playlist, Behind Every Star, Twenty Five Twenty One. Playing: Sadly, nothing at the moment. Thinking about: About the fic I need to finish for a single-fandom exchange due very soon, work tomorrow, how to start packing for a move, snowflake_challenge Hobby/Interest: Reading (sci-fi, fantasy, sapphic romances, LGBTQ, books written by Asian / Asian Diaspora writers); writing fic and occasional original works; playing the ukulele (poorly) Planning for: all the things I have to fit in in the next few weeks
My heart beat a little faster when I read that you play games! Final Fantasy X will forever be one of my favorite games. I wouldn't call myself a real gamer, but I love playing on the console. Right now it's AC Valhalla (the second DLC) and next I'll be playing Witcher - The Wild Hunt.
And K-Dramas! It's been a bit since I watched any (my last one was Hellbound), but I'd like to watch more again. The Glory for example. Also listen to some K-Pop again from time to time and that brings back fond memories.
I adore the Final Fantasy series so much and have a particular love for FFXIII - FFX is so good, I also really liked FFX-2 for its quirkiness. I play on a console and also don't consider myself a gamer either, especially not with the way I start, binge play then stop playing for while to the point I forget where I got up to—AC Valhalla being one those games I have to start again.
Hellbound! It left on such a cliffhanger that I'm (not so) patiently waiting for the sequel. The Glory is on my list to watch, hopefully one I get the time to soon.
I liked FFX-2 as well. And I've waited so long for a Happy-End about Yuna/Tidus. I remember that my brother and I shared tears of joy when it happened. :D
I am really hoping for a second season of Hellbound because I wanna know what's happening, lol. Are those things angels? Demons? What's the meaning of all of that? ^^

(I completely forgot about the interest list on my profile. I'll have to get round to updating it sometime)
