♬ Music In General ♪ Thinking day to day, what do you normally listen to: Lots of stuff! I think most of my favourite music could be roughly classified as some kind of rock. However, I also enjoy some metal, pop, rap, and even the occasional country song. In general, I will give anything a try (with a few exceptions). If different from the question above, what are you currently into: Well, about 10 or 11 months ago, I discovered a band called Derina Harvey Band, who do a mix of Celtic Rock and traditional Newfoundland folk. (Newfoundland is a small island in the East of Canada, if you're not familiar). Through this band, I discovered a lot more of above-mentioned Newfoundland trad music and that's what I've been obsessed since then. Do you listen to music to study, exercise, or work: Well, I am not doing any studying right now, and I work in a shared office so no music listening there. I do listen to music on my commute to work and when I take my daily walk though. I also generally have music on at home, whatever I am currently doing. Unless, of course, I am listening to a podcast or watching a movie/TV, duh ;) What platform do you use to listen to music: I mostly use Spotify, but I also listen to the radio quite a bit. What language do you prefer your music: Most of what I listen to tends to be in English or German (my native language) but I am not opposed to any language as long as the song sounds good. While I do not know that much of/about it, I think K-Pop is nice and Korean sounds pretty, for example. Is there a musician you'd like to meet? Why: Derina Harvey, of the above-mentioned band. She seems really kind and nice, and I have actually had some interactions with her through social media. Sadly, she mostly tours within Canada and I'm 4,000 km away. Holding out hope that she'll eventually come to Europe someday! Do you sing and/or play an instrument: I do sing a lot, though not in any "professional" way, I'm not good enough for that. I'm not horrible either and I have shared a few songs I've sang on my DW before, but that's the furthest I will go. I don't play any instruments though I would love to learn the acoustic guitar or the fiddle but my coordination is probably too bad for either. Do you have a least favorite genre: I am not particularly into Jazz, brutal Death Metal, German folk music or hardcore techno. Or anything with super offensive lyrics, obviously. No shade on anyone who likes the genres I mentioned in the first sentence, they are just not my taste ♥ Do you make playlists? If so, do you share: I have a lot of playlists on Spotify, for example I make one of my favourite songs of the year, have been doing so since 2016. They tend to be huge, like 800-1,000 songs per year. Name 3 songs you recommend: That's tough! Some random picks off the top of my head. 1.) "Excursion Around The Bay" - Derina Harvey Band 2.) It carries so many good memories, I've made friends through it, seen new places by going to concerts in other cities, and it's helped with my mental health and even made me more confident. I am sure there are quite a few, but right on the spot I can't think of any, of course. Lol. I might come back to you on this one. Do you dress similar to the genre you listen to: No. First off, I listen to way too many genres for that, and while I do love gothic clothing style, and even that 2000s emo/scene style (yes, unironically), I would personally find it too constrictive to only dress in one certain way. That's just me though, I don't care when other people do so.
