♦ Spring Is Here! Is it spring yet in your part of the world: Yes, although you'd hardly know it What's your favorite thing about spring: Nature coming back to life, colour coming back into the world, and the longer daylight Have you been doing any spring cleaning: Yes, although not specifically because it's spring If comfortable sharing, any spring goals: I'm hoping to move house soon What are your likes or dislikes about spring: The aforementioned, plus the constant background noise of birdsong. I dislike how unpredictable the weather becomes as it just means that if you're out all day then you have to be prepared for literally anything. Do you have any spring-based hobbies: Not particularly. I'm trying to go running now it's a little warmer out. Do you have a favorite flower: Sunflowers Do you like being outdoors or prefer staying indoors: Both - I like going hiking, but I like coming home again, and most of my hobbies are indoor based.
♦ Friending and Your Journal What qualities are you looking for in a friend: Kindness and non-judgement, and people who are looking to connect and not just grow their f-list. How do you like to communicate: Through comments, mostly because I'm shy and writing comments takes me a lot of energy. Do you do friend cuts? If so, how often: Not really. I only cut people if I find myself constantly skipping over their posts, or they offend me. How often do you post: I can't say as it's when I'm inspired and have something to say. I'm trying to make it more of a habit though, I built a lot of walls during Covid to protect myself from all of the hostility and I'm still learning to break those down and open up again. I used to always use LJ for memory keeping, so I'm not new to this whole thing. What do you post about: My life and thoughts. I'm an illustrator, and I'm currently looking for my own place to live after moving back with my parents after working in Korea. I also want to get a pet, so I'll probably be posting about that too! I have a lot of hobbies (sewing, drawing, reading, musical theatre) and I'm hoping to go back to uni soon to do a masters so I can actually move my career away from illustration. I also deal with a few chronic & mental health conditions, I don't really post about it much but it's there in the background (and also affects my activity levels). Is there anything you're not looking for: (Feel free to put dealbreakers here too) I don't like people who make me feel anxious or self-conscious of what I write in my own journal. I don't know how to phrase it any better than that, but I've had people before who left comments that came across as very judge-y, condescending, or narrow minded, and I don't need any of that energy. Be kind or get out. Also I'm not interested in people who only post about their kids, I'm sorry but it's a phase of life I just can't relate to.
