♦ The World of Fandom
What fandoms are you into: Yes! (lol) I think my main interest these days is seeing other people enjoy themselves (and create things) either in the context of fandom or not. I like video games, more specifically JRPGs and mobile games. I like anime/manga/light novels of basically all genres - recently I've been rewatching Dragonball Z, reading My Happy Marriage, and keeping track of a couple dozen series on the Manga-Up app. I've been slowly reading through a few danmei series and would love some domestically licensed baihe. I have a soft spot for medieval romance novels and give a lot of fantasy romance a shot but it's rare to any that hits my sweet spot despite it theoretically being my jam. (Listen, more actual down-n-dirty-with-dragons, pls.) I'm revisiting everything I stayed up late for (or should have) in my youth like Highlander and Forever Knight. I've been listening through my music collection one album at a time. I love Gundam and Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem and hundreds of other games and books and shows and would also love to tell you about them. (I will probably tell you more than you want to know about Rage of Bahamut!)

Do you have an active fandom, or just into multiple at once: I'm always enjoying new everything and rarely lose interest in previous fave canons.
How do you participate in fandom: I run a lot of communities: [community profile] inspiredby, [community profile] mobilegames, [community profile] small_fandoms, [community profile] octobercest, [community profile] spring_renewal, [community profile] promptmepromptly, videogamefanworks, [community profile] ficortreat, and more- I also sometimes run events elsewhere including on [community profile] readingtogether and [community profile] anime_manga. I also write both fanfic and original fiction and sometimes create other things.
Which do you favor? Fandom is...a hobby, a way of life, or fandom is not my thing: Fandom is a hobby, or a related clump of hobbies. I also boat watch and cemetery walk and do a bunch of other things that both are and aren't a part of that clump. I participate in curative fandom, too.
Do you have any favorite ships: This is not the question to ask someone who just said they boat-watch. I love the Armco/American Valor and hope she sails again someday! I also multiship in general and in all configurations.
In terms of fandom, what kind of friend are you looking for: People who are having fun and doing stuff. Even if your main fandom/fanworks/etc. aren't my cuppa, I am so glad you're having fun and doing stuff.
Do you have any favorite fanworks that you'd like to share: Shoutout to the folks running the Dragalia Lost private server. (If you'd like the instructions for joining, lmk.) Now that is some fan work!

♦ Top 5's (This Exact Moment, Probably Forgetting Something Very Obvious And Important)
Anime: Kiddy Grade, Generator Gawl, Tsurune, Mononoke, Macross Frontier
Movies: Rise of the Guardians, Napping Princess, Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary, Count of Monte Cristo, Blues Brothers
TV Shows: Nightmare Cafe, Highlander... I want to watch more toku and cdramas and everything else, but time ;_;
Comics/Manga: Gundam SEED Astray, Saint Seiya, JK Haru, Ancient Magus' Bride, Solo Leveling
Band/Artists: Metric, the Raincoats, the whole of mid-90's riot-grrrl punk, Lucinda Williams, Van Halen
Games: most everything by Cygames, Final Fantasy, Tales, SaGa, Exos Heroes... And I'm noodling around with tabletop stuff here and there.

♦ Friending and Your Journal
What qualities are you looking for in a friend: Posting about stuff they're enjoying. We don't need to share fandoms. The world is on fire and I'm going through stuff too, but posting constant doom-n-gloom isn't going to be a good fit. Over 18 and okay with fiction being fiction. Must be okay with VC Andrews jokes.
How do you like to communicate: Asynchronously. I work nights and am not home multiple days per week. Conversations may take weeks, but I do try to chat!
Do you do friend cuts? If so, how often: I prune out inactive journals after a $timeperiod for various reasons. I'm also fine with people coming and going. If we don't click, no worries.
How often do you post: Frequently. Sometimes daily, sometimes a few times a week.
What do you post about: Lately, goodies I picked up. Projects I'm working on. RL and work hijinks get access locked, as do a lot of cemetery photos/rambling. I don't post fic to my journal but I do talk about my archiving projects and writing and sometimes link. (I ditched AO3 almost exactly a year ago and am gathering up the pieces from all over to have a more positive archiving experience. Yay smallweb!)
Is there anything you're not looking for: Constant negativity. Bigotry. A lot of politics. OTW/AO3 evangelists.
