Do you have any hobbies?:Penpalling (yes snail mail!), travelling usually, taking photos, especially of flowers, collecting Pippa dolls, reading (Mostly Scandi Noir and other crime)
Do you have any interests, that wouldn't fall under a hobby?:languages, art/art history, animal and human rights, vegetarian food, the paranormal

What does your day to day look like?: Right now I am not doing much besides working or being at home! And now my husband just gave me COVID so I am at home for another 10 days I guess.

Entertainment
What do you like to watch?: Lots of stuff, some Youtubers too (mainly travel related ones), I mainly watch documentaries and some series but not that much.
What movies do you enjoy?: Well especially art house type films, my favourite director is Almodovar.
Do you play games? If so, what do you like?:No, apart from sometimes Neko Atsume.
If you like to read, what do you read?: Mostly Scandi Noir and other crime, also biographies
What kind of music do you listen to?: goth, darkwave, industrial, 80s, World Music, folk, a bunch of stuff in languages other than English.

Journal & Friending
What do you post about?: Mainly about my life and what is on my mind at the time.
How often do you update?: A couple of times a week usually
What do you look for in a DW friend?: It would be nice to have more people who post frequently and comment on my posts too. :) Generally I would prefer someone with a similar outlook on life and maybe who likes some of the same things, but I am also happy to connect with people who are quite different, however, I do prefer liberal types.
What do you like to read about on your friends page?: Mainly about their daily lives. I am not into fandom stuff.
Do you have any kind of friending policy?: Not really but it is nice to hear from someone before they add me so I know who they are.
Do you have any deal-breakers?: Only if they are homophobic/transphobic or racist. And if they are really gung ho about eating meat I probably won't have much in common with them ;)
Is there anything others should know before friending?: I don't think so?

Anything else? I am a cis woman married to a cis man with no children (just dolls!), I love purple and love hearing about what things are like in other countries and cultures. I have lived in 7 countries, including Russia and Ukraine! (Though a while ago now!) Very LGBTQ+ friendly.

Sorry to hear you have it too :( I have health conditions that make it scary but at the moment it is quite mild. (I am triple vaxxed). Hope you are doing ok and will be better soon!

It’s definitely the worst “cold” I’ve had in recent memory (and we’ve had a lot of them in the 15 months as our child started nursery school—I’m surprised it’s taken him this long to bring actual Covid home), but I don’t have any known health conditions (and I’m triplevaxxed) so I’m just taking it easy and trying to truck through it.

My husband does have some high risk conditions, though, so we’re trying to keep him from catching it. So far, so good.

I'm 52 as well, in Germany, and an old hand in the music genres you list. That music is a very defining part of oneself, innit? I confess I'm very partial to people who share this disposition :)!
