The grandson of the author of Earth Abides recommended it to me. Stephen King said that Earth Abides inspired him to write The Stand.

Lately I'm loving Max Brooks. His new one, Devolution, is a corker.

Oh Earth Abides is such a classic. How wonderful that you know Stewart's grandson. The Stand is one I've reread several times, it is so impressive.

What book are we talking about... did you mean to respond to someone else's comment?

Sounds like I need to Devolution to my reading list!
