To pass my PhD To finish my driving test
Are there any new books, music, games, shows, etc. that you want to dive into?:
I started going to a book club in 2022, and we are reading "Diary of a Void" by Emi Yagi. I also just found out about a musician called Ren, so possibly learning more about their music.
Are there any small or big events that you're planning for this year?:
I am getting married to my partner of 10+ years in March.
Any new interests/hobbies that you'd like to try out?:
I live by the sea, so I want to do more sea swimming. I had some sea swimming lessons in 2022, but for health reasons I can't swim all year round.
I am an artist and have mostly focused on photography in the past ten years, so perhaps getting back into other art forms.
Did you accomplish your resolutions from last year?: (If not, that's okay. Just skip this one)
Yes, one of them was to go permanent at my teaching job - and that happened. One of them was to have a holiday, and while I didn't really have one - I did go away for a night here and there.
What were your favorite memories from the past year?:
I went on an international trip for a project, hiking next to glaciers.
Do you have any new years traditions?:
Not really, though I do like to go on a walk on New Years Day.
Is there anything you'd like to do more of in 2023?:
Making sure to spend time in nature!
The New Friends What kind of friend(s) are you searching for?: I am open to new friends of any kind. What do you like to read about?: I do like reading about creative pursuits and/or travel. That said, I also like reading about people who have vastly different lives to me.
How often do you check your friends feed?: It depends, but usually once a week.
Do you have any deal-breakers?: No drama! We are not teenagers. I am here for the good vibes and mutual support.
Do you mind reading about fandom?: I'm not into fandom.
If so, what fandoms would you like to read about?: See above.
Currently... Reading: My friend gave me "Daisy Jones and the Six" to read over Christmas. That was a fun, light-hearted read. Watching: Euphoria. Playing: Gigi, who sounds like early Muse, Jeff Buckley and Radiohead. (I.e. my favourite) Thinking about: too much. XD Hobby/Interest: Generally: analogue/experimental photography. Planning for: Wedding, which is coming up fast!
