AH HA HA!!! My music taste is probably the last reason anyone would want to friend me, so I'm pretty much doing this for the LOLs.

Age or Age Group: Bogwitch crone
Location: Norway, but I am originally from the UK.
Pronouns: She/They

♬ Music In General ♪
Thinking day to day, what do you normally listen to: Black Metal, ideally Norwegian or Nordic. But invigorating Black Metal, not the depressive stuff, that bores me to tears. (I also carefully research to avoid and not patronise the minority of far right wankers in the scene.)
Do you listen to music to study, exercise, or work: Exercising, as in while walking to work, swimming in the local lake or on my elliptical at home, the insane beats are really energising. If I'm swimming or on the elliptical I'll sing along, though generally not while walking as it gets awkward if I meet someone on the way. Sometimes while doing long winded chores. I like going to gigs too.
What platform do you use to listen to music: I buy digital or CD's direct from the bands and convert to mp3
What language do you prefer your music: English or Norwegian. English is easier for me to understand, but I'm working on my Norwegian comprehension and listening to songs in the language encourages me to learn and gain vocabulary. I do understand French and some German, but tend to listen to other genres in that language.
Is there a musician you'd like to meet?: Erik of Watain, Abbath and Agnete of Djerv, mostly because they have a rare ability to make direct eye contact from the stage to their fans in a way that is almost magical, and I am agog to quizz them on how they do that. I perform myself (conferences and stand up rather than music), so I know this is really difficult to do well. Others I have already met and are chums with on my facebook now. Black Metallers are (mostly) really nice and sweet bods.
Do you sing and/or play an instrument: I can clean sing well, mostly around the mezzo-soprano range (I have done backing vocals for a Goth band) I can growl sing intelligibly and reasonably well, and I play the theramin on occasion.
Do you have a least favorite genre: I cannot tolerate Country and Western. It's even more dreadful in Norway, complete with fake American accents. That shit will send me postal.
Do you make playlists? If so, do you share: Yes, usually lists with pretty music videos, piss taking and snarky comments but no one wants to listen to them, An example linked here.

♬ Music Favorites ♪
Artist/Band: I got back from an Extreme Metal festival a few weeks ago and I am still missing the vibe and the really nice people I got to hang out with there. Currently I am OBSESSED with Watain who headlined and did their usual utterly deranged flames 'n' blood show. Their music is pretty stonkingly good too, Bon Jovi on crack possessed by demons.
Favorite lyrics: This quote from Ravn of 1349 sums up the point of Black Metal to me, since we are stuck in a world surrounded by some pretty horrible, greedy and selfish people in positions of power and that is upsetting and frustrating. “Black metal has to evoke darkness and grimness and all the feelings that are looked upon as forbidden. Black metal is a way to deal with these emotions instead of taking them out on another human being.”

♬ Music and Feelings ♪
What's a song that gets stuck in your head, that you may not necessarily like: I grew up with 80's electronica, and I still listen to that sort of thing on occasion (Gary Numan's latest work is fucking awesome.) I love this piece by Indiana, (Link here) and find it deliciously hypnotic and I got excited to check out her other works only to find they brought me out in an allergic rash.

What does music mean to you: I spend all my time and work being nice to people, trying to be a good person and make the world a better place (in my own small way) and that is fucking exhausting. Hence the extreme metal as catharsis.
Name some songs that get you excited or that cheer you up: I dunno about "songs" but part of the appeal of Black Metal is seeing a certain kind of long haired, corpse-paint slathered chap or chapess gyrating half naked on stage screaming their hearts out and well... that never fails to cheer me up and put a smile on my face.
Do you dress similar to the genre you listen to: Not every day, and not with my dayjob! But this was me at an Extreme Metal Festival a couple of weeks ago.

♬ Friending And Deal-breakers ♪
What kind of friend(s) are you searching for: You need a sense of humour and not take some of my shitposting too seriously. Comedy writing and stand up is my hobby and I do test out ideas with my posts on occasion.
What do you like to read about: Your daily life, getting to know people to make a connection.
How often do you check your friends feed: Pretty much daily, I try and comment, if my dayjob is not too intense.
Do you have any deal-breakers:If you are far right, racist, homophobic, gun-lovin', Trump-lovin' then you can fuck right off.
Do you mind reading about fandom: I'll probably scroll past that, but if all you ever post is book and netflix reviews and fandom stuff, especially tedious list posts of I read/watched x,y and z and have nothing to say about it beyond "it was nice, that was nice, this was also nice" then I'm likely to quietly de-friend you.
Anything else you'd want people to know: Since this is a music themed friendzy, here are some snaps I took of various bands a few weeks ago at the festival.

Hi! You sound like somebody I would love to get to know better - while I don't listen to a lot of metal anymore, I will always have a soft spot for the genre and the people in the "scene" so to say. Metallers are definitely some of the nicest people I have met so far. I might also give some of the bands you listed a try since I've not really ventured into the Black Metal subgenre so far but am always willing to expand my musical taste :)

I am also very much intrigued by the stand-up comedy part and would consider myself to have quite the sense of humour ;)
