What does your day to day look like?: On most days I wake up, either go to the office or set up my working station in my living room (we still have a hybrid work pattern), have lunch, go for a walk, work some more, if I'm in the office I might meet friends or my partner after work or if I go back home I relax a bit, cook dinner, eat dinner with my flatmate, read a book in bed, sleep like a log and repeat the next day. Pretty exciting stuff, eh?

What do you like to watch?: I don't watch a lot of TV or TV series, but when I do it's usually historical documentaries, period drama or a good thriller.
What movies do you enjoy?: As above - mostly historical stuff and thrillers.
Do you play games? If so, what do you like?: I'm not a gamer but I do like my mini Super Nintendo! I also quite like board games sometimes.
If you like to read, what do you read?: I LOVE to read - historical fiction, crime, gothic literature, so-called literary fiction (not sure I quite like the term though)...it's easier to say what I don't read, which is mostly sci-fi and fantasy.
What kind of music do you listen to?: A bit of everything really - rock, indie rock, pop, jazz, blues. For most of my teenage years and 20s my favourite band was Muse, although I'm not super into their most recent stuff.

What do you post about?: My life really - daily life, work (I'm one of the lucky people who absolutely love what they do), thoughts, people in my life.
How often do you update?: Several times a week.
What do you look for in a DW friend?: Genuine interaction (which doesn't mean comments on every post, I don't expect that at all), shared interests/value, respect.
What do you like to read about on your friends page?: People's lives, as simple as that.
Do you have any kind of friending policy?: Not really, just let me know who you are if you add me. I do sometimes remove people if we haven't clicked or never really interact and I'm not offended if people do the same.
Do you have any deal-breakers?: See dislikes...Also, I'm not really into fandom so if you post almost exclusively about that it's likely we won't have much in common.
Is there anything others should know before friending?: I live in the UK but I'm originally from Italy (so I should also add - if you voted Brexit, we most likely won't get on...). I work as a fundraiser for a cultural organisation - an important detail because I'm truly passionate about what I do and I talk about it a fair bit in my journal. I had my journal for over 16 years, it's been a fantastic window into different ways of living and thinking that really changed my perspective on the world, and I've truly made friends for life through it. So yes, I really do value it!

I work full-time at a company I co-founded (focused on delivering cheaper materials for solar panel production, it almost never comes up but IF YOU WERE CURIOUS), and that eats up a lot of my time. In terms of weekends, my husband and I are closing on a house in the next week, and that's eating a lot of my time.

If you like to read, what do you read?: I love reading and I read a lot, though honestly I don't talk about it very often. I read a lot of romance novels as well as whatever catches my eye at the library.
What kind of music do you listen to?: I listen to a godawful lot of music. Mostly indie rock or folk, with a healthy dash of ambient. I don't really discriminate by genre and I have artists I enjoy in just about every genre. I really don't listen to pop anymore, and I'm not aware of what the most popular bands are these days except in a sort of vague, removed sense (from reading headlines or whatnot), but that's not a "I think I'm better than this", it's a, "I have found what I like and the internet makes it really easy to get what I like, so my taste has gotten REALLY weird". For example: right now I'm really into Valley Maker, Sleigh Bells, and Jameson Nathan Jones (as well as Alaskan Tapes, honestly).

What do you post about?: Mostly my life. Sometimes game-stuff, but, you know. Most of my journal is public, so it's pretty easy to figure out what I'm about. I'm happy and it's sorta boring.

What do you look for in a DW friend?: You should ideally talk about your life too, not just interests. There's nothing wrong with having a journal that's primarily interest-focused, I just like to get to know people.

Do you have any deal-breakers?: I feel like I don't have to say this here because this site skews pretty well left, but no (US) right-wingers. If you are strongly religious and aligned with a church that believes that being queer or trans is wrong, we're not going to get along. If you think that access to accommodation for disability in the US is fine and dandy and doesn't need a massive overhaul to actually make things equitable, move along. Ditto if you think that the justice system in the US is inherently fair and does not need reform, that racism is not a real and present threat in the US today, or that people with uteruses should not have access to abortion.
Is there anything others should know before friending?: I think I about covered it here. Does What It Says On The Tin.

Anything else? I feel like here I must come across as really serious business and very much like, "I only talk about Heavy Shit", but a good chunk of my journal is literally just talking about whatever shit I got up to with my husband or friends over the weekend, how D&D campaigns are going, what I'm reading, etc. I really do just talk about my life 99% of the time. You are unlikely to realize what my politics are through reading my journal, but I like to get it out of the way right away so no one is hit suddenly with, "wow, the queer ace Native lady is really big on access to abortion, I feel Personally Betrayed" or whatever.

When I mean that, I mean I blog about specific things (auto racing). It's been a project of mine since I was old enough to walk through the pit area at my local race track.

What movies do you enjoy?: Mostly ones where lots of people die and no one's feelings get hurt. Edge of Tomorrow is always fun. So is Spirited Away and both The First Avengers and Winter Soldier, but I haven't watched any of the Marvel movies past those

What movies do you enjoy?: Oh anything, really. I mostly enjoy fantasy and science fiction. I enjoy Lord of the Rings, Dune, am a huge Star Wars fan, but also love old classics from my childhood like Hook.

What do you like to watch?: These days animated shows, though I like the odd live-action fantasy series. Just recently got up to date with "The Case Study of Vanitas".
What movies do you enjoy?: I'm open to whatever but I prefer fantasy, mostly animated films.

"Hades" is my favorite game, but I'm also working my way through "Pokemon Legends: Arceus", the recent "Hyrule Warriors" DLC, the first "Horizon Zero Dawn", and the "Mass Effect" remaster. I also sometimes just replay "Sayonara Wild Hearts" because it's short and relaxing. I prefer puzzles, action adventure, and typing games rather than strategy or PVP. I used to play WoW but got tired of it, so I kind of avoid MMOs.
If you like to read, what do you read?: Speculative fiction, with a focus on fantasy and m/m, though I'm getting back into reading science fiction.
What kind of music do you listen to?: Pop, rock, metal, world, folk, orchestral... Most things. The Birthday Massacre's new album came out recently and I love it.
