What are your current interests and/or hobbies?: I enjoy Grammar prescriptivism, studying dandyism, Upper Received Pronunciation, trying coffees, teas, and nasal snuffs, antique menswear (no feminine clothing or makeup), cooking and baking from scratch, nineteenth-century British literature (particularly silver fork novels), writing, and playing card, dice, and parlour games. I love wit, wordplay, and sarcastic humour without vulgarity, so can easily spend time bantering with friends. I also have a deep interest in high culture, such as good literature, theatre, classical music, opera (slowly learning about it), fine dining, French, history, art, etc.
Do you participate in these hobbies or interests daily?: Yes, as much as I can. Some are easier than others.
Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it to become a job? I don't work. However, I could see some of these turning into very interesting careers.
what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?: I am trying to publish Male and Female Costume by Beau Brummell, so that it is available freely online for everyone, but especially for the blind. I have created a curriculum based on the pre-1868 one of Eton College, along with my own self-taught and created courses. I also wish to adopt the writing style of the British upper class during the nineteenth century (real not from television), so that requires study and emulation. I also love being in the kitchen and creating new recipes.
Are there any hobbies you'd like to get into? I would like to know more about container gardening and various crafts.
If you're into collecting something, what is it?: Teas, snuffs, snuff boxes, cigarette lighters, and things from the Regency (real, not replicas).
Do you have a "main" hobby or interest, one that you participate in more than others?: I have four such. Dandyism, snuff, tea, and grammar prescriptivism.
Do you want more friends that participate in a specific hobby or interest? If so, what is it?: High culture, dandyism, and antique menswear.
Is there anything about your hobby or interest that annoys you?: It is very difficult to find a real dandy in 2021, particularly as a partner, though I have been fortunate enough to find two as friends. I have some friends who are interested in various aspects of high culture, so they are teaching and helping me, but I have no one with whom I could meet in person to play games, to go out for dinner or coffee, or to shop for clothing, or even to give me advice on the latter.

Do you have any deal-breakers?: I am not one for politics, political correctness, drama, lower class dialects, netspeak, or bad grammar (not silly typing mistakes), prosyletisation, or constant use of obscenities. What are your current interests and/or hobbies?: Reading, writing, gardening, cooking, photography, scrapbooking. I have a lot of random things that I pop out when I need them.
Do you participate in these hobbies or interests daily?: Reading and writing constantly. Gardening most days in the growing season. Cooking most days, but not always anything fancy. Photography most days. Scrapbooking occasionally.
Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?: Wordsmithing is my dayjob and I am happy to have it so. Some of the other things I have occasionally done for other people, but probably wouldn't want to be a job.
If applicable, what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?: Books written. :D Not counting the times I've oopsed a book while making notes.
Are there any hobbies you'd like to get into?: Most of the stuff that interests me, I've already tried. Most of what I haven't done or haven't pursued is stuff I'm not well suited to do. There are things I'd enjoy exploring further that aren't readily available at present. I quite liked ceramics, but that takes a lot of special equipment. Hm, I'd enjoy trying my hand at glass kilnwork, which is all color and geometry, and doesn't require standing in the heat. This year's new thing is landraces. It occurred to me there are few I could try developing here.
If you're into collecting something, what is it?: I hoard books. We had over 10,000 when we quit counting years ago. Sundry other things too, like window prisms, but nothing else near that extensive.
Do you have a "main" hobby or interest, one that you participate in more than others?: All the stuff relating to language. I am a wordsmith by talent, profession, and vocation.
Do you want more friends that participate in a specific hobby or interest? If so, what is it?: I am happy to pick up new friends based on a wide variety of interests. I like folks who post pictures of crafts, whether it's one I do or not.
Is there anything about your hobby or interest that annoys you?: Today I got rained on trying to get the seeds into the goddess garden. Weeding is unending. Proofreading written work is tedious. So is shelving books. All jobs have parts that suck. The key to happiness is finding ones whose sucky parts you can tolerate.
Do you participate in your hobby or interest for fun or relaxation? Both?: Often mix of both for different activities. Harvesting is fun; just walking around the yard is relaxing. Writing is exciting; rereading older things I've written is relaxing.
And lastly, do you prefer to participate in your hobby/interest alone or with someone? Depends on the hobby, and who I can get. I love audience interaction for writing, but the actual writing I do alone. I do a Poetry Fishbowl on the first Tuesday of each month when people can give me prompts; next up is May 3 with a theme of "Making Do." Most gardening I do alone for lack of other options. I enjoy cooking with my partner.

I post about all the hobbies I mentioned plus whatever else catches my interest, which is a huge variety of stuff. The writing is the biggest amount.
What do you like to read about on your friends page?: I like a wide range of crafts when people talk about current projects, especially with pictures. I'm fond of many other practical topics like environment or space exploration.
Do you post about fandom? If not, do you mind reading about it?: I write in a variety of fandoms occasionally. Among my main works are Love Is For Children (The Avengers) and Frankenstein's Family. I quite like open-source fandoms and have several of those too. I enjoy reading fanfic or fanac if it related to a fandom I share, although sometimes I read outside those if it's intriguing enough. I've picked up a couple of fandoms because I liked the fanfic so much, but there are others where I only like the fandom and not the canon.
Do you have any deal-breakers?: I prefer to avoid medical discussions. I tend to overlook the lock dingbat because it's so small, so I also avoid most blogs that have a lot of locked posts. Otherwise I accidentally link to locked posts, which annoys everyone. So those things rule out a lot of blogs that I would otherwise read.

The one thing I like about online journalling is seeing everyone's different interest and hobbies, especially when there's photographs to show them off. I'd love to be friends with people who show off their art and like being asked nosy questions about their process… and I also wouldn't mind being friends with anyone who likes to write and anyone who is comfortable talking about their mental health.
And animal photos. That's the big one.

Not having enough time; there not being enough hours in the day. Sometimes it can be tough to spend hours being creative to receive little feedback. Getting back into a hobby after falling out of it can be rough.

What are your current interests and/or hobbies?: Knitting, Crochet, sometimes pin loom weaving, playing video games, very occasionally reading books
Do you participate in these hobbies or interests daily? : Video games daily! I play Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy Brave Exvius on a daily basis. I usually knit or crochet several times a week, and often enough it's daily but not always.
Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?: I sell some of my patterns on Ravelry, but I barely make any money at it. I stream myself playing video games on Twitch three times a week but have yet to make affiliate, and doubt I will. I have considered taking craft commissions, and this year am actively investigating selling at craft fairs, but it will never be a full-time job.
If applicable, what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?: Oh! I'm very pleased with my Aerith Doll Clothes because it took some trial and error to get the lace hem to stop flipping up, but I did it
Are there any hobbies you'd like to get into?: Weaving, on inkle looms or a table loom, but (a) I need more money, (b) I need more space. Also, I'd really lie to get back into reading fiction on a more consistent basis.
If you're into collecting something, what is it?: I collect floating pens, also sometimes known as tilt pens: those pens that have a small scene in their barrels that when you tilt them, a piece of the scene moves. I have over 50 of them, but they are packed away so I have lost count of exactly how many I have.
Do you have a "main" hobby or interest, one that you participate in more than others?: Hmm, no? I'm pretty equal with my video gaming and crafting. Both take up significant portions of my time and mean a lot to me.

Is there anything about your hobby or interest that annoys you?: I have anxiety, and it can interfere with my video gaming, especially since I play an MMORPG where you sometimes have to play with others. It's annoying when the anxiety rears its head. As for the crafting: annoying that I have just one room in my house where I have to have ALL my stuff, and thus my room is cramped with both unfinished and finished items.

What are your current interests and/or hobbies?: I crochet. I used to quilt and I'd like to get back into it. I was recently given a bunch of leftover quilting cotton but I haven't had the time to sit down and get started. I paint my nails.
I also read and write but I'm a grad student, so that's more like my job right now.
Do you participate in these hobbies or interests daily?: I go on and off. I read every day. I do not write every day. I crochet when it doesn't hurt my hands too much.
Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?: Right now, I'm supposed to be working on my thesis for my MFA Writing for Children & Young Adults; I'm a full time student, so I guess you could say that's my "job"? I don't make much money off of it.

About a dozen years back there was a regular "Work In Progress (WIP) Wednesday" blogpost by various US quilters that attracted hundreds of people. Except that those women gradually shifted to doing more stuff with their family, and quilting 'fandom' ended up shifting to instagram. I still keep a blog, but I don't post there very often. It's hard to remember.

What do you like to read about on your friends page?: Real life + crafting.
Do you post about fandom? If not, do you mind reading about it?: Yes, I do post about fandom; no, I don't mind reading about it, although I may skim over it if it's not a fandom I'm familiar with or interested in.

Hobbies and Interests
What are your current interests and/or hobbies?: Writing, reading, coloring, art, drumming, witchy stuff, collecting random information on topics my partners are into (currently it is bookbinding).
Do you participate in these hobbies or interests daily?: Not as such, no. I'm trying to get better at it though.
Is your hobby or interest your job? Would you like it into a job?: I write semi-professionally, as in I've sold short fiction to a number of markets, though only a few pro sales. I've also read tarot/oracle/curio for money before too.
If applicable, what's your greatest achievement/creation from a hobby or interest?: I got an acceptance for a story that I love, from a venue that I also love.
Are there any hobbies you'd like to get into?: I'd like to get better at drumming and also play with polymer clay.
If you're into collecting something, what is it?: Do tarot and oracle decks count? I just love the art and how each deck seems to have their own personality
Do you have a "main" hobby or interest, one that you participate in more than others?: Definitely writing.
Do you want more friends that participate in a specific hobby or interest? If so, what is it?: Writing friends are always welcome! But so are art and music people too!
Is there anything about your hobby or interest that annoys you?: The focus it takes to maintain a long streak of writing.
Do you participate in your hobby or interest for fun or relaxation? Both?: Fun and satisfaction more than anything else. Though, I think coloring is very relaxing.
And lastly, do you prefer to participate in your hobby/interest alone or with someone? I would love to do things with other people! Especially music or art stuff but I am always accepting of talking to writer types as well.

How often do you post?: I have no idea. Erratically is the best way i can say it. I'm trying to get into the swing of a few times a week though.
Do you post about your interest or hobby? If not, what do you post about?: I write about RL stuff, including mental health, I wanna start putting up music recs more often, and yes, I'll do occasional writing stuff too.
What do you like to read about on your friends' page?: Pretty much anything. Fannish, non-fannish, recommendations, how projects are going...Yeah, I am just interested inw aht other people are interested in.
