Do you have any resolutions?: For the new year? Nah, they always fail in February so what's the point? ;) I do have some I try to acchieve during the year, jobwise it has made it really hard for me to do so though. Going swimming more often is one, being a bit more active is another.
Are there any new books, music, games, shows, etc. that you want to dive into?: LOTS, I'm just about finished building a monster of a gaming pc, so there's tons of games I want to play. Readingwise I'm still stuck with Wheel of Time.
Are there any small or big events that you're planning for this year?: Lots of tiny weekend trips throughout Austria. I've also booked a trip to Germany, to visit new boyfriend's family for the first time...
Any new interests/hobbies that you'd like to try out?: Not really, I hardly have time for the ones I do have :) My job is eating me alive!
What were your favorite memories from the past year?: Falling in love is definitely the one standing out :D

What do you like to read about?: Daily routines, taking part in other people's lives
How often do you check your friends feed?: Not often enough, I've been really busy at work during last year. Fingers crossed it gets a bit better again!
Do you have any deal-breakers?: Religion, racism, the usual suspects I guess. People who disappear for months on end and don't interact at all.
Do you mind reading about fandom?: I'm not into it, so I'd skip it, if the journal is full of them then I rather not add.

Watching: Rewatching the witcher since I plan to dive into the game again soon.
Playing: Planet Crafter (until the new pc is ready then.... tons of gfx challenging games)

Hobby/Interest: I do have tarantulas (in a special filter, hidden away) I love music and I do like to take pictures, especially of my two cats and landscapes and such.
Planning for: lots of weekend trips, a wee bit of healthy eating, sharing recipes maybe, not sure. If weight loss is a side effect that's great, but overall I want to get into a healthier routine. Stress is just no excuse to dive into bad habbits.

Do you have any resolutions?: Not really resolutions, but I do have a few goals this year, like my writing/word count goals, my inevitable "this is a list of books I want to read this year" which I will not read a single one of, sames goes to the list of games I want to play, or play again (Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Final Fantasy, Horizon…) I really should add exercising as a goal too…
Are there any new books, music, games, shows, etc. that you want to dive into?: So many! My "To Read List" is ever growing. I have a particular love for k-dramas and rely heavily on the "coming soon" category on Netflix for new things to watch, unless they star actors/actresses who I enjoy watching then I'll probably be waiting in anticipation for.
Are there any small or big events that you're planning for this year?: Moving house and Lunar New Year celebrations are the most immediate events coming up, but other than that nothing major planned. I'll take life as it comes this year.
Any new interests/hobbies that you'd like to try out?: Nothing at the moment, but I'm hoping to spend more time doing my current interests (reading and writing).
Did you accomplish your resolutions from last year?: I didn't set out any resolutions last year. I did give myself a word count goal, which I thought I wouldn't hit. I didn't but still got very close!
What were your favorite memories from the past year?: Travelling internationally for the first time since the pandemic to see family and friends; and to see my favourite k-pop group perform live.
Do you have any new years traditions?: Watching London's New Year's fireworks.
Is there anything you'd like to do more of in 2023?: Reading and writing more, but also putting aside some time when I do neither so that I can play some games, draw, catch up on TV shows.

Do you have any resolutions?: I do a Word of the Year which helps guide me. That word for 2023 is 'Focus'. I am also about halfway through a 101 Things in 1,001 Days project so there are plenty of goals.
Are there any new books, music, games, shows, etc. that you want to dive into?: A friend gifted me with a Disney+ subscription and I am having a great time working through all the newer content, especially Star Wars and Marvel. Not into gaming. Reading preferences are mysteries, apocalyptic and dystopia, science fiction and fantasy.
Are there any small or big events that you're planning for this year?: I have three trips in the planning stage; the biggest one is my bucket list trip to Venice, Italy.
Any new interests/hobbies that you'd like to try out?: I'm not much into crafts, but I'd like to try my hand at drawing and painting. And learn enough Italian to get by during my Venice trip.
Did you accomplish your resolutions from last year?: Not resolutions, but I did accomplish quite a few things on my 101 list.
What were your favorite memories from the past year?: Turning 70, discovering the Wheel of Time universe, my son and daughter-in-law buying their first house!

People who love fandom and those who don't. People from different countries and lifestyles. Open minded people with an enthusiasm for life. DW is my only online platform these days and so I love to meet and read about a wide range of people and interests.
What do you like to read about?: I love to read daily life posts, family, travel (with photos please!), hobbies, random stuff and fandom stuff.
How often do you check your friends feed?: At least once daily and I comment a lot. What's the point of having a friends list if not to interact? I generally post daily, or close to it. (Also, my journal has a lot of locked posts if that is an issue for you.)
Do you have any deal-breakers?: Not fond of people whose default setting is anger, narrow-mindedness, condescension or self-righteousness. I'm pretty liberal in my opinions, so anyone with super strong opinions to the opposite is hard for me to deal with. I'm trying to keep sane in this crazy world so prefer not too much content on current headlines /politics – a little is okay.

I’m planning to start watching the new season of His Dark Materials. I can’t wait for the new series of Taskmaster!

Do you have any resolutions?: Apple watch seems to think so... keep trying to get leaner, stronger, wiser, kinder
Are there any new books, music, games, shows, etc. that you want to dive into?: I have a book backlog of stuff I'm supposed to have read already, haven't thought beyond that. Would like to see through the end of Atypical and The Kominsky Method (shows you how current I am with TV) and am intrigued by Letterkenny Problems. The first new Gaslight Anthem album in almost eight years is high on my can't-wait list.
Are there any small or big events that you're planning for this year?: Traveling to Puerto Rico next month
Any new interests/hobbies that you'd like to try out?: Supposed to try ziplining but that's not really a hobby. Finally picking up my late father-out-law's guitar. Otherwise back into playing the piano, accomplishing a muscle-up.
Did you accomplish your resolutions from last year?: I think my only resolution from last year was "survive" so ... done!
What were your favorite memories from the past year?: Decorating for Christmas with my folks and sister, the surprise Gaslight Anthem show at my favorite (very small) venue

Do you have any resolutions?: Apple watch seems to think so... keep trying to get leaner, stronger, wiser, kinder
Are there any new books, music, games, shows, etc. that you want to dive into?: I have a book backlog of stuff I'm supposed to have read already, haven't thought beyond that. Would like to see through the end of Atypical and The Kominsky Method (shows you how current I am with TV) and am intrigued by Letterkenny Problems. The first new Gaslight Anthem album in almost eight years is high on my can't-wait list.
Are there any small or big events that you're planning for this year?: Traveling to Puerto Rico next month
Any new interests/hobbies that you'd like to try out?: Supposed to try ziplining but that's not really a hobby. Finally picking up my late father-out-law's guitar. Otherwise back into playing the piano, accomplishing a muscle-up.
Did you accomplish your resolutions from last year?: I think my only resolution from last year was "survive" so ... done!
What were your favorite memories from the past year?: Decorating for Christmas with my folks and sister, the surprise Gaslight Anthem show at my favorite (very small) venue
Do you have any new years traditions?: No, not really.
Is there anything you'd like to do more of in 2023?: See more bands! (Went from 75 live shows in 2019 to... six in 2020 and still recovering), get my backyard deck project completed, spend more time outside.

I live by the sea, so I want to do more sea swimming. I had some sea swimming lessons in 2022, but for health reasons I can't swim all year round.
I am an artist and have mostly focused on photography in the past ten years, so perhaps getting back into other art forms.

Yes, one of them was to go permanent at my teaching job - and that happened.
One of them was to have a holiday, and while I didn't really have one - I did go away for a night here and there.
