Well hello there!
Welcome to the revamped version of

friending_memes ! Here you will find a variety of different friending memes to participate in, because we all have seen our friends page go silent from time to time.

friending_memes is here to help fix that! I will post a new friending meme every month or two for all to participate in; sometimes it'll be a general friending meme, and sometimes it'll be a bit more specific, like a crafting friending meme. You don't have to be a member or be watching the community to participate. Any registered user can comment on these memes to make friends. Anonymous comments are turned off though. If you like the idea, please consider subscribing to the community for more friending memes!

Sharing
Please feel free to share out these friending memes to reach as many as possible! It helps everyone make more friends or find that one friend that clicks well with them. I'll leave a code in every post for you to do so. With that also said, I'm also happy to share your friending meme too. Just leave a comment on this post and I will make a post about it to the community.

Rules
- No drama, no wank, no bashing, just friending memes. Passive aggressiveness is not welcome, either. We all come from different walks of life, so please be considerate to all. This community is lgbtqia+ safe.

- Please don't post images that are so large, that they stretch the page/comments area. If you need help with coding and making it fit, I'm happy to help. Please ask.

I'm very grateful that we've had little to no issue in the community so I want to give a big thanks to everyone following and everyone who has participated! Not that I see it being an issue, but if problems arise and you start to feel uncomfortable with something, please PM chromaskies (me), and I will handle it.

Q&A
Q: I'm a bit confused about your goal here, please explain?
A: This is essentially a friending community, or add me community, but with a twist. I will post various friendzy topics, and if any appeal to you, I leave a form for you to fill out and post it in the comments. Different people can do the same. If you find someone you may get along with, you can comment on their form! That's the sole purpose of an friending meme, and also this community; to bring people together to make friends!

Q: How often do you post new friending memes?
A: The plan is every month. If live gets in the way, every two months. As the community grows, I may consider posting one twice a week.

Q: Is there a time limit on each meme?
A: No. I will never close comments on any friendzy. Feel free to still comment on friendzies of a specific type.

Q: Are there any rules on what types of friending memes you'll promote from others?
A: I'll promote any type of friending meme/friendzy that you're having. That said, common sense applies, I will not promote any thing that's phobic or pro-discrimination etc. Granted I've never seen friending memes like those, but just in case.

Q: Do you have to be a member to participate?
A: No, community subscription is not required. It is encouraged, but not required. This is a free for all, for all users. (Anonymous comments are not allowed though)

Q: Do I have to answer all the questions written out in the form?
A: No, please answer only the ones you feel comfortable with or the ones that apply to you, specifically, in your quest to make friends. It is not required for you to answer them all. Even if you want to add anything, feel free! Heck, if you want to post it to another add me community, if it helps you make friends, it's all good.

Q: Is a friending meme and friendzy the same thing?
A: Yes, I use both terms because they have been called both. Some know them as friending memes and some know them as a friendzy so I try to use both terms so people know what's going on.

Hey everyone! Just poking in to say there will be a new friendzy soon. Life has been busy (garage sale setup) and work has been stressful. I've had no energy after work. Not much else to this post, however I will ask, would you like to participate in a Spring-themed friendzy or a multi-fandom friendzy? I was reluctant on the multi-fandom because I didn't know if there was much interest in fandom, so just thought I'd ask to see :D

0. Update!

Hey all! I'm making a quick update to say that I haven't forgotten about the community. I started a new job and it's been a bit of a rough transition, but I'm starting to get my footing back and falling into a more regular routine. It's why I haven't posted a friendzy in a while. That said, a new one is in the making and will go up tomorrow!

- I've been throwing around the idea to have a moderator join me in bringing friendzies to us on a more regular basis. I'm unsure, since I've gotten to a bit more regular pace in life, but it also doesn't seem like a bad idea in case life stuff comes up. If I decide to do that, I'll come up with a questionnaire for you to fill out, if you're interested!

- Also, I've refined the about us sticky post a bit so please look over them again.

- And lastly I'll end on a question... Should I refine the deal-breaker section that I include in all friendzies? Or are most of you happy with what I've included? As I was writing the questions for the upcoming one, I was looking over it a bit and kind of had the feeling that I want to refine it, but I'm unsure of what kind of other questions to provide.

0. This Or That

Time for a small update...and to get some opinions, if you wouldn't mind sharing, but I'm kind of indecisive on two ideas that I have.
One would be a Current, But Favorite Friendzy.
The questions for it would look like:

I wanted to cover two different bases with questions like that, because I know some aren't quite as fond of the "What's your favorite" type of questions. And I definitely get that. Something can be your favorite, but you may not talk about it as much as what your currently into, be it a tv show or a musician/band. So with this, I figured it would cover two bases that could be important to others in their friend-making quest.

0. A Small Update

Hey everyone! Just a quick note to let everyone know I'm working on another friendzy and hopefully it'll be up tomorrow or Thursday, so long as life stays relatively calm. Life has been chaotic and it's kept me away, but I'm going to do what I can to keep the community going.

In the meantime,

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of activity here. Life has been turbulent, to say the least, so that's kept me away for a bit. I'm back and the community is overdue for another friendzy! 0. It's About That Time!

I want to start off by saying thank you very much to those who participated and/or shared out the previous friendzy! It was a big success and I was very happy that it helped others find friends or to reconnect with others on DW :D

I have a few things to say though:
